Why the second boat
In Luke 5 the catch is too big for one crew, so they signal the other boat. The nets were not theirs. The haul was not theirs. They rowed out anyway, and both boats came back full.
That is the job. Your church is doing the work. We show up for the part that happens before Sunday, and the credit stays where it belongs.
So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. Luke 5:7
Who is behind it
Second Boat Studios is run by Andrew Masterjohn, founding pastor of C3 Mosaic in Málaga, Spain, a bilingual English and Spanish church serving people from more than thirty nations.
I planted that church, and I still make its media every week. The series art, the slides, the bumpers, the socials, the launch campaigns, the signage on the building. Which means every deadline your team is under, I am under the same one, six days a week.
That is the whole reason this studio exists. You are not briefing a designer who has to ask what a series is, or why the title has to be legible from the back row of a rented hall in daylight, or why the file has to be named so a volunteer can find it at 8:40 on a Sunday morning. I have solved all of those for my own church first.
Before this
Fifteen years across digital marketing, video production, retail operations and market research, working remotely since 2018 and internationally since 2021 with clients in the US and Germany. An MA in Ministerial Leadership from Southeastern University and a BS in Mathematics from Penn State, which explains the scripts.
How we work
Málaga is a full working day of overlap with the UK, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and India, and mornings with the US East Coast. Australia and the US West Coast work async, which most churches prefer anyway.
