Opening day: launching a church nobody had heard of
Fill a room on opening day in a city where the church did not exist, had no mailing list, and no congregation to invite anyone. Everything had to work in English and Spanish and reach internationals and locals at the same time.
No existing audience meant no organic reach. Every person who walked in had to be reached by paid media, a public listing, or a personal invitation, on a church plant's budget.
What we made
- Launch identity and invitation set in both languages
- Meta Ads campaigns targeted by language and neighbourhood
- LinkedIn Campaign Manager ads aimed at Málaga’s international professional community
- Public event listings on Meetup and Facebook, titled for discoverability rather than in church language
- Invitation cards and print for hand distribution
- Opening day recap reel
Outcome
[FILL FROM META ADS MANAGER AND PLANNING CENTER: opening day attendance, cost per reach, signups, or the split between paid and personal invitation. This is your strongest quantitative case study.]
The insight worth naming
Church listings written in internal language are invisible to someone searching for community in a new city. Titling events for discoverability rather than for insiders is the cheapest reach available, and almost no church does it.
